                                         Index of Reporting

                                                                        From Primorye

                                                          E-Gram Index

The following is an index of the first 255 E-Grams done by ConGen Vladivostok, dating from the invention of the format in December 2000 until my departure in August 2002.  For readers who are not familiar with the term, E-Grams are unclassified E-Mails that are used by ConGen Vladivostok in preference to unclassified reporting cables.  For unclassified posts like

• Our E-Gram Group: Econ Assistant Volodya Kulagin, Pol Assistant Vika Butyleva, CG James Schumaker, CG Assistant Lena Vasilevskaya.

Vladivostok, the E-Gram format has distinct advantages, in that it allows the reporting officer to include digital pictures, as well as web links to film clips and to articles pertinent to the subject of the report.  Beginning with Vladivostok E-Gram No. 129, most have been sent out by unclassified cable as well.  Now all E-Grams are posted on the State Department's extranet network, thus making them available to a much wider base of readers.   Readers interested in a particular topic should use the  "find" key (CTRL+F) to search for what they want, and then go to the appropriate E-Gram on the extranet site.
